So I had my first day of classes at uni today and they were awesome!
I’m still working towards my deadline of having Luck or Fate finished by December and hopefully if I can reach that then it will be published. I’ve decided on trying a whole new format design with the book so this involves more re-writing which I love by the way.
I’ll let you all know in a few more days how the editing goes, which I’m off to do now if I don’t decide to curl up in bed and try and get rid of this cold or whatever it is.
A place where you will find all the information on my book series. Whether it be on the characters or the whole story.

news
So I'm taking a week off work because I got some upper respitatory infection. It sucks but it does give me editing time which is good. Here's a quick little piece for you enjoyment:
Rika bit back a laugh as she walked past the staff room and saw Mitch asleep in his chair. He had awake up all night talking with Ryland; while they booth could have sat somewhere in the house Mitch had stayed lying in bed with Rika.
She sighed as she took a few steps back and poked her head in the door.
"You might want to wake Mitch up. He has a class to teach in five."
Rika's english teacher laughed as she turned to look at Mitch.

Randomness
Just a note for you guys. I have 151 pages left on my editing!! It has me very excited but I'm also really tired 'cause I spent the day cleaning.
While I was going through LoF earlier I noticed that while Mitch and Rika's relationship flows, it still seems a little rushed so that's seriously going to need more work. Yes at this very moment I know that I should be editing but I'm about to watch Mamma Mia with my sisters!!

Luck or Fate journey
So I realize that while I work on Luck or Fate I get a kind of comfort from it. I think this comes from Luck or Fate being such a large part of my life. I've worked on it so much over the past two years and it's part of the reason I'm still here now, I want to make it mean something to someone else. I guess in a way I want people to learn something from it.
My friends tell me that it's an addictive and extensive story that deals with issues that have such a sensitive topic well and I understand what they mean by the addictive part because if I start reading it I just don't stop, which is a problem when I'm trying to edit. It also is a really good thing that I like reading LoF because I read it so often while I'm working on it.
I was out with my cousin today and I didn't know how to tell her that I've hit the point where I feel like I want to give up. I mean LoF means so much to me but I sometimes wonder why I'm putting all this effort into it when some people think that it's a waste of my time. I'd love to have it published and it mean something to other people. But I dunno, I guess It's just that I've spent so much time on it lately that it's turned more into work then for fun. I'll resume my editing later on tonight, do not fear of that.
I got to the stage the other day where I just wanted to delete the whole thing, so I now continually send copies to a friend and she keeps one in her email inbox and one on her computer, as well as one on a flash drive just so that if I do delete it and want it back she'll have it for me. Last time I wanted to delete it I just got up and walked away from my computer, of course this seemed a little weird to dad because I had been furiously typing away before hand. Anyway I'm done talking crap for the night.

My beginning of writing
Well now I trust that a few of you that have read this know the reasons behind my whole story Luck or Fate. What you may not know is why I started writing. It was the beginning of year 11 and I was ditching my classes, hell I was only there because I didn't know what I wanted to do with myself. So I had had this awesome teacher for english for two weeks, then he got moved classes so I got another teacher. After those two weeks I just didnt' show up much.
One day I was off getting a cup of coffee (even at 16 I was addicted, still am 2 years later) anyway, he came up to me and asked why I wasn't in class. I had been ditching most of my classes for a few weeks now and he was the first person to actually ask me why. It was nice and I explained a few things to him, he suggested that i started writing to get it all out of my system, which is how it all began.
For your reference his nickname is 61.
Now i'm going to jump quite a while and tell you an amusing story from Novemeber last year during NaNoWriMo. A couple of my friends took the book I was writing and and started reading it out loud at school, in the middle of lunch. This particular story contains some rather graphic scenes not too far into it and as they were reading it 61 walked past. This was a little awkward for me because I happen to have a bit of a crush on him and he stopped to listen to what they were reading. Of course his reaction was a bit worse, it pretty much went like this:
Him: You're a talented writer, but it's a little creepy how well you write such graphic scenes."
Me: "Relax I got no experience in that field and thank you."
Him: "Hmm I think that's even worse. Come see me if you want to become a published author and I'll help you get your book ready. Keep it up, and as I said you are a very talented young writer."
At that point my two friends had stopped their reading and were just staring at us. It had become a bit of an awkward situation for them and some how quite amusing for me. Of course they wanted to know what that was all about so I told them only a few bits and pieces.
I'm currently working on the book that this story is based off called Luck or Fate. I'm hoping to have it published by December and there will be more blog posts regarding random bits and pieces and the other so far 15 books in the series!!
Stay tuned guys and don't forget to watch Sea Patrol!!!!
